Stunning views, good service and a well curated wine list. It is commendable that the management actively seeks guest feedback to find ways to improve, and it seemed like they actually listen. So here's mine:

The Lamb Rump: Delicious, tender, juicy, well balanced and paired very well with the oyster mushrooms and the Yukgaejang sauce. I wish portions were slightly larger as I was left wanting more.

Kimchi Mac n Cheese: Enjoyed the flavor but could do with more fattier bits of bacon and a creamier sauce. The macaroni was quite undercooked unfortunately, which made it hard to finish the dish which was very dry despite those bold flavors.

Duck Pancake: The 5 spiced plum syrup was amazing. Would work so well as a dip for fries! Sadly it couldn't save the dish as the duck mince tasted bitter and funky, not in an intentional kind of way.

Pork Slider: The flavours were quite contrasting because of the Kimchi. Wasn't bad but would probably give it a miss next time.

Fries: Very crispy outside but quite hollow inside. A unique take on fries but probably not one that worked for me.

A strong suggestion is to please introduce placemats or a cutlery stand. Using cutlery directly from the table surface that has only been superficially wiped between consecutive seatings did not feel very hygienic for the elevated standards of the restaurant. I'll be back.

Good food. Beautiful view. Good price. If you are looking for all three, give this restaurant a try. I especially love their Kimchi Mac & Cheese 👌🤩. They’re located at the top floor of Mövenpick Hotel in the CBD.

Boda at Mövenpick Hotel Auckland

A lovely dessert experience at Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognised Boda!
We tried the Boda Egg, which was creative and delicious. Enjoyed the stylish bar ambience with a beautiful view of the Sky Tower.

It was my birthday today and their staff, Bishal made the dessert I ordered even more special with a Happy Birthday written in chocolate then helped us take a video and sang Happy Birthday. As many have mentioned, the view is amazing.

The food is mixed. We ordered a range of dishes and they were mostly good with some being excellent.

The pork belly skewers and potato rosti was a highlight. While the lamb tasted a bit too gamey, and the market fish was slightly overcooked.

We had a lovely evening here. The food was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend the steak — it’s a must-have!

What really stood out, though, was the wonderful service from the restaurant team, especially Brian. I accidentally left my cell phone behind after dinner, and when I called back, Brian was immediately informed, located my phone, and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. I’m very grateful for his kindness and assistance.

Great food, a lovely atmosphere, and genuinely caring service. Highly recommend!
